Shopping

Like my owner, I love to shop.  Now, I am not a get-dressed-up kinda dog (except for Halloween), but a new collar or yummy treat, now that's my kinda shopping!

Now I know there are other consumption-oriented puppies and dogs out there, so please submit your favorite dog-related services using the Friends of Bella feature!  (Bella reserves the right to pass on some submissions based on their suitability!)
Three Dog Bakery - San Clemente

Need food or treats with no preservatives for your dog? Well, Three Dog Bakery is the spot.  (Bella loves their bakery case goodies!)

118 S. El Camino Real in San Clemente.

Silent Dog Tags - Boomerangtags.com

I love my boomerang tag (see photo of style I have).  It doesn't jingle or get caught on my leash and has enough room for home AND cell numbers for my owner.   What's more - it was delivered fast.  We've ordered several as I like to change collars (different widths = different tags).  These make really awesome gifts for new pet owners.

Muttroplis

Four locations in Southern California...great selection, nice people… They also run email specials and events.

They have many toys at my level (on the floor in baskets) which makes it easy for my owner to figure out what toys catch my eye.  They also have a great selection of collars and leashes in pretty colors for all my moods!

Up Country - Website

Now, I am not so great on the computer (paws/keyboards - not a good mix!), but my owner is quite adept.  We've found some of these gorgeous collars and leads locally, but you find the widest selection on their own website. A style for every pooch!

Target

Believe it or not, Target has some great inexpensive toys. Even Isaac Mizrahi is designing for Bella (without the designer prices!). We love the rollup fleece mats…a portable bed when we go visiting.   Now, I am not allowed in the store, so I send my owner to do my shopping - the ultimate personal shopper (who owns who now????).

Happy Muzzle!

Sometime you just have to have a muzzle (say, for the public boat ride to Catalina).  How about one in pretty colors and fabrics that doesn't look like your dog is a killer???  See www.doginthecity.net.

Snow in Orange County??

Highly unlikely, unless you get a "snowball" from planetdog.com.  These are great alternatives to that old tennis ball!

Pet Supply Warehouse - Lake Forest

I can't surf the web with these paws, so it doesn't matter that they don't seem to have a website.  What they do have is great prices on all the necessities for pets!   Finding this 'warehouse' is worthwhile - the staff is nice to me and my owner finds everything from food to grooming supplies to bedding, crates and collars/leashes - oh, and TOYS for me.   Check them out at  23854 Via Fabricante Ste E1, Mission Viejo or (949) 951-1284.

Dogma - Irvine & Newport Beach

This is a great store!  You'll find toys, treats and other luxuries that every good pooch (including me) deserve!   The staff is great, they love having me visit and sniff the merchandise and there are all sorts of fun things you can't find in those 'bigger' pet stores.  Check out www.4dogma.com for directions & hours!

Barney's Barkery - Balboa Island

Come drive down to Barneys Barkery on Balboa Island in Newport Beach. Pet paradise begins at the door with a complimentary dog treat. Designer dog collars, unique toys, gourmet treats, pooch attire and more, are among the items the store offers. In business since 2000 Barneys Barkery hosts many parties and we hope you will come down, and join in the fun.

Unique & Unusual Items

Items for Southern California dog owners!  Specialty items that fit in with the OC lifestyle!

Your dog can tell you when it needs to go out!

PoochieBells.com sells a unique bell system that hangs from your doorknob.  You can train your dog to ring the bells to let you know it is time to go out.  Think this might be annoying?  It sounds better than a doggie-door if you live in an aread with rats, racoons or coyotes - doesn't it?  They even include instructions on how to train your dog!

Another method for your dog to summon you to let him/her out is the Tell Bell.

It comes with a simple training video and is the equivalent of the "ring bell for service" found on many shop counters.  Only this one sits on the floor by the door.  Trust me, once your dog figures it out, you'll wonder who is really the master of the house!
